Cookin' in the Kitchen with Rach

Here are a few different recipes that I like to make, whether chocolaty, or not. But all, very tasty.

Banana Pancakes

Ingredients

2 cups self raising flour

1/2 cup caster sugar

1 1/4 cups milk

2 eggs

2 bananas

1 tsp vanilla essence

Method

Put flour, sugar, milk and eggs into a bowl. Mix them together until the mixture is smooth. Mash banana and add it as well as the vanilla essence. Mix well.

Spread some butter in a hot pan to stop the pancake sticking. Pour mixture into your desired size into the pan.

When the pancake has lots of bubbles on top of it, flip it over. When you think it's done take it out of the pan and serve it with honey or syrup. Enjoy!

Toasty Fingers

An easy dish to serve for family or friends.

Ingredients

2 pieces of bread

Your desired spread

Method

Toast the bread. When it's finished, put on your desired spread, then cut off the crusts and slice the toast into strips. You may like to serve with strawberries or grapes for a nice finish.

Spiders

No, you don't have to catch a spider and then fry it up for dinner, it's a drink and a refreshing way to end the day.

Ingredients

Vanilla ice-cream

Either red, green or orange soft drink

Get a cup, and half fill it with vanilla ice-cream. Pour The soft drink over the ice-cream, but if it starts to bubble up a lot, stop pouring otherwise the cup will over flow.

When the cup is full, add a straw, and you've got yourself a nice refreshing drink.

Home-made Bacon Burgers

Ingredients

Lettuce

1 Tomato

Cheese

1 Onion

Bacon

1 Bread Roll

Method

Start cooking the bacon whilst you pre-pare the roll. You may like to cook the onion once you slice it. Take a few lettuce leaves (your choice on amount) and wash them. Place them on one half of the roll.

Cut the tomato and put your desired amount onto the roll too. Slice, or grate the cheese and add that as well. Keep everything on one side of the roll.

When the bacon and onion are done, also add them to the roll.

Now that your lunch is ready you can sit back and enjoy!

Chocolate Balls

A great treat for a party!

Ingredients

1 tin Condensed Milk

1 packet Nice biscuits

1/2 cup coconut

2 tbs Cocoa

1 tsp vanilla essence

Method

Crush Nice biscuits and put them into a bowl. Add coconut, cocoa, condensed milk and vanilla essence. Mix well.

Place the mixture in the fridge for 15 minutes. This will harden the mixture.

Once out of the fridge take a little amount roll it into a ball. Have a little bowl of chocolate sprinkles, coconut or cocoa ready to roll the balls in and make them tastier.

You can also roll them into logs and then cut them so that they are little logs.

Choc Sprinkle Cookies

Ingredients

2 cups plain flour

1 cup caster sugar

1/2 tsp baking powder

2 eggs

250g butter

1 tsp vanilla essence

Chocolate sprinkles

Method

Pre-heat the oven to 180 degrees C.

Put flour, sugar and baking powder into a bowl. Soften the butter by putting it in the microwave. Add butter and vanilla essence. When the butter is softened, add that to the mixture too. Finally, sprinkle the chocolate sprinkles into the bowl and mix well.

Pour the mixture into biscuit sizes and put in the oven. Bake for 10 minutes or until cooked.

Hope you like all the recipes!
